Cyber Shaman: Behind The Scenes
Cyber Shaman is a bouncy and sploinky psychedelic song written in the key of E minor with a focus on drums and wonky bass. There are percussive elements throughout that contribute to a 'tribal' vibe. The genre subcategory it falls under is space bass. I used woodwinds and brass to achieve a more melodic feel. Deep vocal basses to add a weird atmosphere. I am getting more comfortable with using lyrics, and included words to portray a character made of flesh and steel capable of using both technology and the arcane arts.
I made this song in FL Studio. I used Sytrus, Kontakt, and Serum for multiple different sounds. I added some shakers and a tabla to give the percussion more variety. The intricate beat has some off-kilter flow to make it feel bouncier overall. Inspirations for this song include Ganja White Night and Sully.
This song is the third in the overarching story that is Artificial Reality. I will make an animated music video for it in Blender just like the others. In order to remain consistent with quality, I will use EEVEE again at 24 fps for the renders. When the video is available, I will link it here and add it to Bandcamp. It will also be uploaded to YouTube.
In the music video, Psidemica has now gained some powers from the shrine in the woods and makes his way back to the lab while training and getting more comfortable with it. He meditates, exercises, practices, and discovers new techniques. He can float or hover with ease after some time. He can also conjure a small magic circle and symbol. He learns how to hurl weak blasts of concentrated energy, but it is hard and uses up a lot of power. After he has gotten a better hang of some things, he returns to the lab. He enters the elevator and heads toward the hanger, ready for the next phase of his plan.
